The simplest way to order the VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin is via credit card over the web using the Kagi Online Order Processing service. The URL for this is <https://order.kagi.com/?3WE> (or <http://order.kagi.com/?3WE> if your browser cannot handle secure transactions).
If you don’t have a credit card, or if you do not want to send money over the net, read on...
2. “Order” Application
Your copy of the VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin should come with a small application called “Order”, which you use to create a customized registration form to send to Kagi.
Please note: For technical reasons the price for the VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin is $ 25 US instead of $ 24.95 US if you use the "Order" application.
If you do not have the “Order” application, you should download a fresh copy of the whole VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin package. It is vital that you use the registration form since payments sent without the appropriate form can be delayed or lost.
(A) Type your address
When you launch the “Order” application, it puts up a window asking for all the necessary information. Type your name, postal address, and e-mail address in the corresponding boxes at the top of the window. So that we can contact you, you must provide your postal and e-mail address (please note that we do not reply by FAX).
If you do not have an e-mail address, you must check the “Postcard Receipt” box (which automatically adds $1 to your charge) at the bottom right of the window. Otherwise, you will not receive any reply to your registration. Then, fill in the payment details at the bottom left of the window. Choose your method of payment from the popup and complete the relevant information (credit card number, type of currency, etc.) below.
(B) Select the number of copies
Type the number of copies you want to order into the “Single User” box. In most cases you should just type “1”. Do not type the license fee into this box since the “Order” application computes the fee for you.
If you feel that the VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin is worth more than the registration fee, you can add an optional bonus in the “Bonus US$” box.
(C) Submit the registration form
Once you have filled in all this required information, the “Order” application displays the total amount at the bottom right of the window. You then need to create a registration form by clicking one of the following three buttons:
• Print...
prints a hard copy of the registration form, which you can then mail to Kagi.
• Copy...
puts a copy of the registration form on your clipboard for you to paste into an e-mail message to
send to Kagi. This method works only with credit cards since it is not yet possible to e-mail cash
or checks.
• Save...
saves a copy of the registration for to your hard disk as a SimpleText document for you to print out
or e-mail later.
Please note that the Kagi e-mail and postal addresses are given on the registration form.
The full working version
After your order, Kagi automatically sends you an e-mail reply titled “Thanks for your payment”. After that message, you will soon get an e-mail from us containing the full working version of the VSE REALbasic Utilities Plugin.
It can take Kagi a few days to process a registration from the date they receive it (please make sure to factor in the delivery time if you use snail-mail), but usually they handle registrations very fast.
If you do not receive the “Thanks for your payment” e-mail message, contact Kagi at <admin@kagi.com> or the postal address given on the registration form to ask about the status of your registration.
Common Mistakes
• If you do not provide an e-mail address, you must give a snail-mail address and check the
“Postcard Receipt” box (this automatically adds $1 to the charge). If you do not, you will not receive
any confirmation from Kagi, and in particular we cannot send you your personal registration code
to disable the demo version limitations.
• You must send the the registration form to Kagi and not to the software author. Kagi's
e-mail and snail-mail addresses are given on the registration form itself, under the words “Send this
form to:”.
• Make sure you type your e-mail address correctly. If your e-mail address is wrong, you will not
receive Kagi's confirmation message or your personal registration code to disable the demo
version limitations.
• Do not e-mail Kagi the “Order” application or send a screen shot of the “Order” window. You
use the “Order” application to create a registration form (which consists of some text and possibly
bar codes if you are using the printed version), and you then send that form to Kagi.
• Do not type the license fee into the “Single User” box. This box is for the number of copies you
want to order, and in most cases you should just type “1”. The “Order” application automatically
computes the total cost for you. Also, do not try to put an “x” in the “Single User” box; it only takes
numbers.
• Do not give a FAX number as the only means of contacting you. We do not reply by FAX, so we
need either an e-mail or postal address. In particular, if you have a FAX number but no e-mail
address, you still need to check the “Postcard Receipt” box.
